*insert thing here*

I'm out of it. I have no idea what to blog about.

Anybody have a question? Want to know a secret? Or something?

In lieu of actual content, there's a better picture of my new steampunk corset.

In the background is one of the last paintings I did. It's called Goodnight Horses.

Uh oh—no questions. Maybe you have told everyone everything. Usually when people have done all there is to do they retire, but please don't!
By the way, the secret password I have to enter to leave this comment is "medlycni."

What's the corset made of? I can't tell if it's fabric, or leather, or what else from the pictures. (It might not be much, but it's the only question that comes to mind. ^_^)

How similar is the process behind writing and painting?

Describe your journey from geek to chic. Well, less-geek.

I always love stories about yr kids.

Find the most common questions asked at author meet and greets and answer them.

Explain what a "Plsek" is.

1. Not retiring. Just in the slump of the creative cycle.

2. The corset is made of upholstery fabric, a copper chenille.

3. Writing and painting are oddly similar in the sense of when I have to do it, I HAVE TO DO IT. But after writing, I know my cycle and that revisions are needed, whereas after painting, I'm DONE.

4. I'm still a geek, but when I was pregnant and nursing, I watched a crapton of What Not to Wear on my parents' TV, and it taught me how to dress (better). It sounds ridiculous, but it's the truth. When I lost all my baby weight, I had to buy a new wardrobe, and I was pretty picky about it. Learning how to accessorize and finding a great salon were key.

5. My kids are hilarious. Yesterday, t-rex was running around, screaming I AM TIM BURTON!, and I said, "I love Tim Burton, and I have never been prouder." He got all upset and hollered, I NOT A TIM BURTON. I TIMBER, THE WOLF. I WILL BITE YOU. And I was all, "Figures."

6. A Plsek is just this guy, you know? Like Zaphod Beeblebrox.

Thanks for asking questions, y'all. I feel so much better now. <3
