on pizza and heartshare
You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but even your 4.5 month-old son knows when you are sleepy and partially tipsy and have already exhausted your extroversion for the night. And he expresses his disgust by sighing deeply and falling asleep in your lap with milk dribbling out the side of his mouth, because he is a tough character.
Tonight Dr. Krog and the dudes and I hung out with some friends and their kids, eating pizza, telling stories, and laughing about expensive marketing failures and ridiculous buzzwords. We had a wonderful time, and we are so thankful to know folks with whom we and our children and our lovable dorkiness are mutually compatible. We are also appreciative of the zip line in their back yard, because as adults, we just don't get to hurtle dangerously through space often enough.
A pleasant time was had by all, and I look forward to the Biscuit sleeping it off tomorrow until at least 8am. Oh, that would be utterly delicious.
Also, if you're good, i'll tell you tomorrow why we call him Dr. Krog.
